We have the standard Rug Doctor machines available to hire from selected Timpson shops (not the Rug Doctor Wide Track). These innovative machines have the power to reach dirt hidden in the deepest layers of your carpet, offering a professional-quality clean in one pass.

There are several Rug Doctor detergents to choose from. These are usually offered separately at a small additional cost.

Rug Doctors can be used in all kinds of amazing ways, so we recommend checking out Rug Doctor’s official guides on how to use them properly. 

Rug Doctors include attachments for cleaning carpets, upholstery, stairs or even car interiors.  The specially formulated cleaning solution can be used on all these things,  so there’s no need to change the attachments or cleaning solution.

The cost of hiring a Rug Doctor depends on how long you’d like to rent one for. 

24-hour Rug Doctor hire - £26

No, there’s no deposit required to hire a Rug Doctor. You simply pay the rental fee upfront and then bring the machine back within the agreed timeframe.

Since there’s always a chance our Rug Doctors have been hired by someone else for the day, we recommend calling your local Timpson shop to check availability and ask about reserving the machine.

Rug Doctor carpet cleaners are available to hire for either 24 or 48 hours at a time. You’ll need to return your Rug Doctor within the agreed timeframe to avoid any further charges.

To hire a Rug Doctor machine from one of our shops, you'll need to bring at least two forms of ID with you, depending on your preferred payment method. 

• Payment by credit or debit card: Please bring some photo ID (valid passport or driving licence, excluding provisional) along with the card used to pay for the rental. This is the fastest option!

• Payment with cash: Please bring a household bill or bank statement along with your photo ID.

Yes, a hand tool and other selected attachments are included as part of your Rug Doctor hire. The hand tool is perfect for cleaning stairs, upholstery, mattresses and  car interiors.

No. Rug Doctors use specially formulated detergents to provide the best results, so you cannot use any unauthorised products with your machine. This is part of the hiring terms and conditions.
